Designed for one very creepy purpose — to carry Sydney’s dead to their final resting place,

Mortuary Station is the only remaining example of a purpose-built Victorian funerary railway station in Australia, and possibly the world. Located just outside Central Station, it is one of the most ornate sandstone structures in Sydney – and certainly one of the most unusual railway buildings in NSW.

Virtual guests will take a journey back in time to learn about this elaborately carved stone railway station and have the opportunity to appreciate the landscaping and the architectural and cultural aspects of the building.
