GORDON WATERHOUSE MEMORIAL MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP 2025

ZENITH THEATRE, McINTOSH STREET CHATSWOOD

THURSDAY  12 JUNE 2025, 6.30 PM FOR 7.00 PM.

This annual scholarship was inaugurated in memory of Gordon Waterhouse, a highly esteemed member of the Rotary Club of Chatswood, who dedicated his life to both music and service above self.
The scholarship honours Gordon’s memory and provides an opportunity for the young musicians to be recognised for their performance excellence, citizenship and their service to music within their school. The Scholarship also raises awareness of Rotary among our young citizens and fosters Rotary ideals of service.

Participating schools nominate a student at a high performance level who makes an outstanding contribution to the school in both music and service. The schools participating are Chatswood High School, Killara High School, Mercy Catholic College, Roseville College, Shore School, St Puis X College, Willoughby Girls High School.

An expert panel, under the guidance of Rotarian Noel Cislowski, interview each of the students prior to the performance and make an Award on both the student's performance and their interview. The winning student receives an award of $2,500 to further their music education, and each finalist receives an award of $250.

The importance of having an audience
The Award provides a very valuable public performance opportunity for students – for many of whom this may their very first public performance in a professional venue. Rotarians, partners and guests make an important contribution to the evening by attending and being an appreciative audience.

NEXT BUNNINGS BBQ
SUNDAY 13th JULY 2025 , AT SMITH STREET, CHATSWOOD.
We are running our famous  barbecues at Bunnings again.
Our website will be updated when we are allocated further BBQ dates in the future.
Many thanks to all who have supported our Club's BBQ's over the past, and we look forward to your support in the future.
On 1 July 2020 the former Rotary clubs of Chatswood and Roseville Chase merged to create the Rotary Club of Chatswood Roseville with 42 active members.
With history stretching back to July 1948 this merger brings together two of the North Shore’s premier Rotary Clubs, each with an illustrious history.
This combining of forces and influx of new ideas reinvigorates our members for the new decade.
